Hand Sculpted from Clay!
Hello Folks! Thank you for reading another one of our “Maker’s Spotlight” blogs. This time we’ve decided to highlight some of the beautiful creations by Debbi Radomsky of Clay Creations 56.
We are all for supporting local makers and creatives from all over SA. Debbi is yet another local artist who blew us away with the stunning quality of her products.
Clay Creations 56
After working in a financial career and needing a creative outlet, Debbi decided to follow her instincts and delve into creating things with clay. She is inspired by her surroundings, namely the breathtaking Table Mountain in Cape Town and all of the surrounding nature.
Every piece is hand made by Debbi herself thus they are all completely unique. You can be certain that you’re getting something “one-of-a-kind”! Debbi describes the process as being unpredictable with results that often end up better than originally envisioned. An important life lesson coming out of the entire process: Remember that things don’t always go according to plan, learn to just enjoy the process. She finds working along with clay to be extremely rewarding as loads of patience and love is needed to achieve your desired result.
Debbi’s creations can be used in various ways and she creates a host of different products including bowls, vases, platters and sculptures. Our customers have been intrigued by her once-off unique designs in store. We currently stock a range of different platters and bowls which you can shop either online or pop by to see the range in person.
Debbi is also open to custom orders and helping you create that perfect gift or feature piece. If you love Debbi’s creations you can follow along with her journey via the handles below:
